In the case of robbing an auto driver and passengers on the highway in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, the court found Wahid alias Akash, resident of Muker Khana Mitha Kuan of Saadabad police station area guilty. Bandit-affected area ADJ-3 sentenced him to 3 years and 3 months rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs 2000.
Brajesh Kushwaha, a resident of Govind Nagar in the Kotwali police station area of Madhya Pradesh, had lodged a complaint in the Etmadpur police station. He alleged that he was coming to Agra from Tundla in an auto. During this, the accused Wahid alias Akash robbed the driver along with his mobile, Rs 5300 and other items. The police sent the accused to jail on 9 August 2021. The investigator filed a charge sheet on 15 August.
Gangster sentenced to 7 years and 1 month imprisonment
The court found Ranjit, a resident of village Samouna in Rajakheda police station area of Dholpur, guilty under the Gangster Act in cases of robbery, theft and other crimes by forming an organized gang. The special judge sentenced him to 7 years and 1 month imprisonment and a fine of Rs 5000.
According to the case registered in Shamsabad police station, the then station in-charge Sunil Kumar had registered a case against Ranjit on 29 July 2017. It was alleged that the accused Ranjit forms an organized gang and commits robbery, theft and other crimes for financial gain. Several cases are already registered against him. As soon as he comes out on bail, he commits the crime again. The people of the area are afraid of the name of the accused.
